This is the latest craze for internet advertising, and allows businesses to present themselves in a great new way. Video adverting is now fast becoming the new concept for internet marketing. her business and background.

Q. Name and business enterprise.

A. Emma Swain, Motorworld

Q. How long have you been operating in

Tenerife?

A. I have been in business for just over two and a half years  as a translator, as I am fluent in Spanish (Canarian) and I speak a little German. I have been involved in Motorworld, as a director for 12 months.

Motorworld has been running successfully for almost four and a half years. Very recently we have taken on a new venture within Motorworld to complement our other services, this being an insurance agency, through Lloyd's of London.

   Offer our fellow Premium Members a little background into your business.

 Motorworld was originally set up to cater for the sale and purchase of used cars for ex-pats. The company has expanded and now incorporates additional services such as assistance with paperwork, not just car related, a full translation service and as I already said, I have just negotiated an Insurance Agency through a Cover Holder of Lloyd's of London.

Q. How do you view your business market at present?

A. Clients in our market place are as

demanding as in any other, expecting a 24/7 service.  We are always on hand and yes that does mean we are on call all through the night.  People want quality accommodation and most of the time are prepared to pay the extra for just that.  It is true, you do have to work harder now to earn the same money but that is life and if you don't change with it then you will simply be left wondering what happened - instead of making it happen.

Q. How do you see the future, what advice can you offer fellow business members?

A. The island has been quiet but strong

business's are surviving. My advice to any one looking to set up a new business would be to do your groundwork first and check your competition and marketplace. 

Q. What are your views on Business Pages Tenerife, and bptenerife.com?

A. When I first heard the idea of bptenerife I thought that it was just another copy of the Páginas Amarillas. I have now realized how usefully it is to business and to individuals. The website and the directory are very popular and well designed, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A lot of thought and time has gone into making and designing it, and I have no doubt that it is around to stay.

Q. How do you see Tenerife's future as a whole?

A. I have seen many changes here in Tenerife, in my eleven years both on a personal and business level. More people are choosing to live abroad and Tenerife seems to be a popular choice. Many integrate and try to learn the language, and are accepted by the locals.
