Network Lunches

When doing business in the UK you are often offered many ways in which to network with business communities. This type of marketing is an extremely powerful tool, extremely cost effective and highly productive. There are many chambers where weekly or monthly you can send representatives from your business to meet fellow minded individuals. This network of business contacts can develop into a powerful arsenal when growing and developing your own business. Tenerife, is now working on the first of a series of Networking meetings for our Premium Business Members. The venue is yet to be announced but will be central to all. This will give all of our members the opportunity to meet and great the business community we have built. A chance to put faces to businesses and services offered across the island. And a chance to begin building new contacts, new colleagues and new sales.

The Networking Lunches are just one of the new benefits that will solely be offered to Premium Business Members.  These events will be the start of the new Business Chamber we intend to congregate. Connecting the business world to the business world. The force that can be achieved from styling this community, will benefit every member. Not from just the business point of view, but from a voice that will be heard with in the multi national business community  in Tenerife.

Q. Name and business enterprise.

A. Michelle Holt - Tenerife Lettings and Property Management.

Q. How long have you been operating in

Tenerife?

A. I started the business just over 12 months ago with only a handful of properties, the business has gone from strength to strength and I currently look after just under 100 properties.  It has grown through sheer determination and hard work on my part, together with word of mouth reputation, the help of some good friends in the right places and through acquiring a further cleaning and laundry business which complimented my existing business.

   Offer our fellow Premium Members a little background into your business.

  The company itself offers property

management services to property owners and their clients.  Very often property owners do not live within close proximity; we provide peace of mind, knowing that we are personally on hand to make certain everything runs seamlessly.  Our services include key holding, property watch, maintenance, cleaning, linen and rentals as well as some shopping on occasions.  We pride ourselves on offering the personal touch often lacking in

other organisations.    We work closely with

a few large estate agents namely Tenerife Properties and Clear Blue Skies assisting them by providing their clients with information on the costs involved of running an overseas property and the potential income.

Q. How do you view your business market at present?

A. Clients in our market place are as

demanding as in any other, expecting a 24/7 service.  We are always on hand and yes that does mean we are on call all through the night.  People want quality accommodation and most of the time are prepared to pay the extra for just that.  It is true, you do have to work harder now to earn the same money but that is life and if you don't change with it then you will simply be left wondering what happened - instead of making it happen.

Q. How do you see the future, what advice can you offer fellow business members?

A. The future, I believe it is possible to set up and do well in business anywhere in the world.  All it needs is thorough research, hard work and determination and a passion to succeed. Don't expect to go anywhere and make a quick buck - it just won't happen.

Q. What are your views on Business Pages Tenerife, and bptenerife.com?

A. Business Pages Tenerife have spent a lot of time, thought and money setting up their own business.  I have worked closely with them over the past 6 months, rebuilding my own website to make it more useful and of benefit to me and more user friendly to the customer and the all important search engines.  I now have full control over everything on the pages, this means I can amend, add or delete anything on my website whenever I choose, depending on how much work I put in, this in turn means the optimisation of the site increases.

Q. How do you see Tenerife's future as a whole?

A.
