As another month departs and we head into
the affectionate month of February, we
have kissed goodbye to many businesses in
Tenerife. The world recession has now arrived
like a wild beast taking no prisoners. With
the lack of old folk buzzing around on their
mustangs, it also shows  the swallows, for
the first time in 15 years have dramatically
reduced in numbers. This would most definitely
be connected with the poor exchange
rate,Tenerife is no more a safe haven to
double your pension allowance,but more of a
Shark, ripping holes from your pockets.
 With
every road full of potholes, it can be hard
to see an end to the worlds financial crisis
. How can we continue
through the months ahead if every angle we
have seems to end in disappointment?

Well we can begin by dusting ourselves down,
and avoiding negative attitudes. Looking for
the opportunities that recessions bring.
 The
word crisis actually arrived from the Greeks,
and its true meaning is opportunity. There
are many out  there, we just need to look
harder and find them. We can all begin to sit
and hide behind our desks, praying for
customers, but I'm a afraid it it´s not going
to work. The businesses that will survive
through difficult times, are the ones full of
enthusiasm. Enthusiasm to get out there, and
offer people what they need. Discounts,
coupons, special offers, these are the
opportunities you are looking for, and they
are the opportunities your customers are
looking for.

Another Great Network!
The Network Meeting held on 6th
February, was again welcomed by all
attendees. We had an audience of 36
businesses, all of which took advantage of
the meeting and extended their business
Network. All the attendees had the
opportunity to talk and network, in between the guest
speakers presentations. A lot of enthusiam
was felt in the room and Ford from Las
Chafiras arrived with some of their newest
vehicles and deals.

It seemed Insurance was on the agenda, with
both Tenerife Insurance services and guest
speakers Zurich Tenerife. Their new office is
now open for business in Los Cristianos, and
the team speaks fluent English with a smile.
Many companies had great offers for both
business and residents of the island. 

With the backing of both Power FM radio and
Oasis FM the meetings planned for this year
should continue to grow, and reach out
further to the business community.

 If you have a business and would like to
attend, look out for the dates of the next
meeting in April.

Promotional Marketing Promotional marketing is a business marketing

Promotional marketing is a technique that
