continues to top the charts as the number one hotspot for Christmas, and the tourists are spending more according to government statistics. On average Christmas bookings were up by a massive 30% compared with last year, and more and more people are choosing to ditch the package holiday and rent private properties (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=7d8ahsbab.0.0.ow854pbab.0&ts=S0151&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.reac-t.com%2Fweb%2Fen%2FsearchEngine.php) with a more personal touch. Their stays have increase too, with the average holiday maker staying for 11 days not 9 compared to 2004.

 Barbados had become the Brits favourite Christmas getaway toping the charts for the last two years.

But 2005 has seen it toppled as

And tourism to the eternal summer Islands is up, making everyone’s investment so far, excellent.

At the close of the third quarter in the Canary Islands (http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=7d8ahsbab.0.0.ow854pbab.0&ts=S0151&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.reac-t.com%2Fweb%2Fen%2Fabout_canary_islands.php), the price of property had risen on average 11.6% and the average cost of a built square meter stood at 1,604 euros.

The figures show an easing off in relation to previous year’s figures, but are still very healthy and attractive to the shroud investor. Rises vary from province to province, with Arona holding one of the most prosperous and healthy. La Palma has shown a slightly better increase at 1,746 per built square meter compared with Tenerife’s, 1,450.

But overall the trend for Tenerife property is still booming, with some great new developments on offer.
