fires up for the start of Carnival season, another amazing attraction, and tradition for the island.

Santa Cruz is host to the second largest carnival in the world, with Rio hosting the largest. On par the costumes and the culture are very similar, and the evenings are long with parties throughout the day and night. This just adds to the already huge portfolio of reasons why the spectacular island of Tenerife offers so much to everyone. Living here, and becoming part of the culture is a great feeling, almost as if you’ve passed off the world, and now live in another, far from the one we know. Life begins when you relocate, that’s certainly a phrase worth treasuring.

Jet 2 has recently announced it great new flight options from Blackpool to Tenerife. This will add to its four routes already scheduled to the islands expanding airport.

 The new flight will fly twice weekly starting from November, increasing to a daily service by the end of the New Year. This will open up more opportunities for great deal flights from the North of the UK, and cut out the hassle of travelling to London’s major airports. The trip from Blackpool will match the Birmingham scheduled flights at just 4 hours, offering sun, sea and sangria to all.

We are pleased to announce that in the latest survey of banks and currency companies undertaken for The Sunday Times, HIFX was found to be the best foreign exchange rate provider!

The survey which included high street banks and specialist currency companies found that Brits buying 100,000 euros for a property abroad would have saved themselves up to 4% or just over £3,000 on the exchange rate alone by using currency specialists HIFX. The article which appeared in the Money Section of The Sunday Times also featured Tracey and Jon Abbott who bought an apartment in Lanzarote last year. Looking at the results of this survey, you won't be surprised to learn that the Southampton couple used HIFX to transfer their currency because we offered them a better exchange rate than their bank!
